Through the night sky

There lies a beautiful gem.

A gem so rare and pure

That is too precious to lose.

~ Alone in the Night Sky

Camera, lights, action!

Flash and you’re on.

Get ready for the spotlight

And flash your biggest smile.

~ An Actor’s Dream

A strong connection holds us all so close

But when that connection is broken

So is my heart.

Broken in two.

~ Heartbreak

Short Story Lovers

Plip, plop, plip, plop. The rain comes crashing down to the Earth, soaking everything and creating a puddle at every turn. The continuous roar of thunder pounds through the night sky.

~ Plip Plop Goes the Rain

Plop! Bang! Crash! Tripping, stumbling and falling wherever we go. Can’t you be less oafish ever in your life? It’s really annoying and embarrassing.

~ Perfidy

Specials

The ball bounces off the goalpost and into the goal. They win. They win. The crowd cheers and they all receive the trophy proudly. This is the game to watch. My friends are victorious. My friends are stars. My friends are winners. They run down to the stands and I rapidly embrace them tightly – sweat dripping all over me.

~ The Big Game

Walking down the street, Krystal and Samantha, best friends, are taking their time to meet some fun people. They are bubbling with excitement as they trot down the path to see some special people.

What if you knew

The world was ending?

Would you even try

To fix your mistakes?

~ Better Off Without You

Sometimes I wish I never did

What I’ve done because it pulls at my heart.

Regret is taking over me

And now I wish that I could turn back time.

~ I Didn’t Know What Else to Do

Pain never felt like this before

But now I think you’ve opened up my heart.

You showed me another style of heart

And now I think I’ve got another scar.

~ I’m Sorry – Duet

April’s Poetry 2020

Be happy.

It’ll brighten your day

Whether it’s been good or bad.

Always be happy.

~ Always Be Happy

Roses are the flowers of love.

Beautiful and sweet,

Full of compassion

And, nonetheless, romantic.

~ A Bouquet of Flowers for You

A rough time can put us down,

Destroy us,

Ruin us,

Eat us alive.

~ The Rainbow at the End of the Tunnel

June’s Poetry 2020

I’m salty?

Do you think before you speak?

Do you know my life?

Do you know me at all?

~ Salty

My heart roars

As the pen in my hand

Scribbles away,

Filling the paper with endless words.

~ A Burning Desire

The beautiful notes

Create a lovely melody

To the chords played along

Mixing into a song.

~ Listen to the Music

September’s Poetry 2020

The wheel spins

Round and round

Like the distort pain

In my stomach.

~ Isolation

I live by the harbour

Never with the realisation

Of how hard life may be in gaol

Because it never crossed my mind.

~ Realisation

If you ever wanted to collapse

After a long day of productive work

Then I agree

That it’s the best feeling.

~ Keep It Up

November’s Poetry 2020

If you think that everything is simple in life,

Then you’re in for a surprise.

Nothing is constant.

Nothing is the same.

~ Nothing is Constant

People tend to hide their intelligence

Because they don’t want to be known

As someone smart, clever, and ingenious.

So, they hide it and pretend to be someone they’re not.

~ Be Yourself

I watch as the apple

Falls off the branch

Gently hitting the ground

With a soft thump.

~ Gravity

January’s Poetry 2021

When we plant the seeds into the ground,

They will one day grow into beautiful flowers.

They will undoubtedly experience hardship

As well as amazing moments in their life.

~ Growth

Sometimes the most trivial things

Can lead to hate.

I find that “hate” is a strong word,

One that I dislike using.

~ Hating is Hard

The hardest thing for me to decide on

Is a battle between my heart and mind.

I want to be in a relationship with him

But I can’t because I want her to be happy with him too.

~ Stuck in the Middle
