Whenever I pick up a book,
A reminder goes through my mind.
“Reading is power.”
I open to the first page and begin the story,
Not forgetting the reminder in my head.
“Reading is power.”
I smile a small smile
As I fall in love with the characters and repeat the reminder to myself.
