Convicts

The convict had a hard life.

They probably never meant to do a crime.

They were probably desperate.

They would have to survive

A six-month journey

Across the sea

With the chief.

To plead

Would be a crazy idea.

It would never work

And all they will receive in return

Is trouble climbing up their back.
